In January 2013 DISQUES DREYFUS , veteran and legendary French label founded on the effort and artistic flair of its promoter FRANCIS DREYFUS ( 1940-2010 ) , ceased to exist as an independent entity and was going to be part of the giant BMG . Inevitably the future of plump nude woman illustrating the characteristic company logo appears indistinct and its extensive catalog of recordings artists, among them names like CHRISTOPHE, FRANÇOIS DE ROUBAIX, BLUE VAMP, BAHAMAS or JEAN MICHEL JARRE , abandoned the possibility of a hypothetical republication or forgotten, in the worst case . These are words of DanielleFeuillerat,  personal assistant for Francis Dreyfus and publishing diriector of the legendary French label for 37 years. Production assistant also for the concerts  in Houston , Docklands or the enigmatic tour in China in 1981 .

Jarre at Alcalá: The Chronicle.

Since last Tuesday, November 6, Jean Michel Jarre already is part of the distinguished group of artists and humanists who make up the University Council of the Arts, whose contributions to culture and society are being recognized since 1996 by the University of Alcalá de Henares (UAH) and the Society of Performers (IEA). They were also awarded the same honour the film director Alan Parker, the writer Antonio Gala, the singer Ana Belen, the actor José Sacristán  and the President of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Francis Gurry.

Sharon Corr Interview

We all remember the Irish group The Corrs. Sharon Corr was one of the members of The Corrs, who did a collaboration with Jean Michel Jarre in the track “Rendez-Vous à Paris”, part of the album “Metamorphoses”. Sharon now has a succesfull  solo career with his latest album “Dream of You”. She has been kind enough to give this interview to Fairlight Jarre; we hope you enjoy it.
