More on “Essentials & Rarities”

Thanks to Danielle Feuillerat and Benjamin Guyot, from Disques Dreyfus, we have the first images of the artwork of the new compilation album “Essentials & Rarities“.

In the FDM web, you can hear some excerpts from both albums. Patrick Pelamourgues was the technician who mastered the two CDs in high definition (96 Khz, 24 bits).

Jean Michel Jarre has presented the compilation to a group of representatives of music distribuitors in his private studio in Bougival. There are some promotional copies given to the press and to TV and radio stations in order to market the album in the media.

Monaco, 01/07/11

H.R.H Prince Albert II of Monaco and his fiancée Ms Charlène Wittstock, in celebration of their wedding, will offer a concert by Jean Michel Jarre. On Friday 1st of July 2011 at 10pm, the Principality of Monaco will pulsate with Jarre’s electronic music.

Hercules Port, entirely transformed into a one-night stage, will showcase Jean Michel Jarre’s concert-event, a special creation for Monaco, in this historic context.

Monaco will be the casket for a stunning evening. Jarre’s futuristic concert marries lighting and laser choreography, HD videos and pyrotechnics, the visual score of his universal music, performed from the stage centred in the Port.

A concert in the city, or a city-in-concert, this civic event, open to all, will be broadcast throughout the Principality, as well internationally.

“It is a great honour to have been chosen by Prince Albert of Monaco and his future wife for such an event. It is also a real pleasure to be able to perform in the exceptional site of Hercules Port” states Jean Michel Jarre.

Essentials & Rarities: 30/05/11

The eagerly  awaited Essentials & Rarities album, the first work of Francis Dreyfus Music and Jean Michel Jarre together on almost ten years, will be released next May 30.

The album will contain two CD’s, in a limited edition:

– Essentials: A tribute from Jarre to Dreyfus, who passed away last year, with some excerpts of the albums published by FDM.

– Rarities: For the first time, this CD will contain some pre-Oxygene works and from the time that Jean Michel Jarre studied in the GRM (Groupe de Recherches Muscales) with his guru, Pierre Schaeffer.

Interview with Patrick Pelamourges

He is the man in the shadow, responsible that everything will be OK, that nothing fails. In the recording studio, as technician, or in tour, taking care that a half hundred of analog synthesizers will run perfectly. JEAN MICHEL JARRE finds in PATRICK PELAMOURGUES the professional and the confidence person able to confront that task with success.

Since 1978, the year in which PATRICK worked in the preparation and equipment of Croissy as a studio recording, he has become in a pound of the JARRE Team. But there is more life outer JARRE’s surroundings, and PATRICK shows it to FAIRLIGHT JARRE.

Rendez-Vous 2011 in Ciudad Real

The XIV edition of the Rendez-Vous (annual meeting of Jean Michel Jarre fans arranged by Fairlight Jarre) will be held in the spanish city of Ciudad Real. The Rendez-Vous will be probably held in the month of September.
